Meaning of numbers in the Bible

1 =       One True Living God

            Source of all numbers, Alpha and Omega,  God powerful creator

            Gen 1:1, Eph 4:5 & 6, Deut 6:24, Ex 20:3

            1^st Commandment

2 =       Witness

            Sun & Moon are the witness to the world.  Symbol of body & soul.

            Matt 18:16, Gen 1:16, I John 5:6, Eph 2:1-5, Acts 1:8

3 =       Divine

            Perfection, things from God, things of God, Jesus rose on the 3^rd day.

            John 2:19

4 =       World

            Lazarus illustration to the world.  He was dead in sin

            John 11:39, 43 & 44

5 =       Death (Night)  ----- Grace (Day)

            Old Testament (Gen 1:5)

David took 5 stones and it took only 1 to kill Goliath and the other 4 stones were to kill his 4 sons.

            Grace = New Testament (John 6:9)

6 =       Man

            Man made on the 6^th day – Gen 1:26, Rev 13:18, 13:8 (666)

            The number 6 occurs 13 times in Bible.

            Destruction 6 times in Bible

                        Job 26:6, 28:22, 31:12, Ps 88:11, Prov 15:11, 27:20

            2 Peter 3:8 – Israel

                        1948 Israel became a nation

1967 6 Day War

                            40 years (Moses generation died off – after wondering for 40 days)

                        2007 (possibility the year of the rapture)

7 =       Perfection

            God’s perfect number (Gen 2:2-3) Perfect completeness

            Rev 1:20

                        392 x’s in the bible (7x56=392) &    (7x7)+(7x7x7)
